Our industry, the world of bid, proposal, and capture management, contains some of the best and brightest minds as men and women alike have chosen this profession as their calling. In June, the women (and a few gentlemen) of APMP-NCA came together to celebrate the accomplishments in our careers and to enjoy a night of gold and glitz centered around a powerful theme of Value, Voice, and Victory – Women in the Industry Dinner. APMP-NCA rolled out the red carpet as attendees posed for pictures and visited the vendor booths prior to the evening’s festivities getting underway.
Our Keynote Presenter, Tassey Russo, with a focus on Value, took us down a path less traveled, reminding us to not be afraid of the unknown and to embrace the adventure ahead of us. Tassey touched on the importance of being brave and bold and standing up for what we value and for what we believe is the right path and progression for our career and to always stay centered and true to ourselves and self-beliefs.
Deb Hurley used audience participation and took us through exploration of our Voice. Demonstrating the way in which we speak, the way we stand, and the way we take control of a room can ultimately change people’s perceptions and help to make us feel empowered no matter our position or status.
To close out the evening APMP-NCA President, Rebecca Link, shared her remarks focused on Victory. Rebecca reflected on what it means to define our personal brand by taking the time to first focus on the values and passions that mean the most to us. By identifying those building blocks, we will make the brand we create stronger, more authentic, and more meaningful to ourselves and those who interact with us.
Many thanks to the participants and vendors who attended the event and helped make it a great success!
