Members, please help us shape the APMP National Capital Area (NCA) chapter! Have you seen our survey in your inbox?
Who is the APMP-NCA Chapter?
If you’re located in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States, you’re in luck. The Association of Proposal Management Professionals – National Capital Area (APMP-NCA) is the second largest of APMP’s 28 worldwide chapters. We’re here to support your success.
-
We are located in the metropolitan Washington, DC area — the hub of federal government business activity — the chapter’s activities are centrally located at a variety of locations in and around Washington.
-
We offer networking opportunities with more than 1,300 active members practicing in capture and proposal management.
-
Our relevant topics focus on public sector procurement and acquisition, business strategy, and the best practices used in crafting responses.
Who Should Fill This Out?
This survey is exclusively for NCA Members and closes on February 27. If you’re not currently a member, there’s still time to join!
-
Go to https://www.apmp.org/join-apmp/ and scroll to the bottom for membership options.
-
Make sure to choose the National Capital Area chapter for your chapter association.
-
Then email membership@apmpnca.com for help with accessing the survey after you’ve confirmed your membership and chapter affiliation.
-
We want every chapter member’s opinion! The survey includes areas for written responses, so you can tell us in your own words how we can better serve our chapter community.
What Are We Looking For?
The COVID-2019 pandemic hit everyone hard; the world effectively shut down in March 2020 and we along with everyone else postponed in-person gatherings. How people lived, worked, and communicated changed; remote jobs and virtual events are now the new normal and it doesn’t look like they’re going away. We want to know how to best serve our members in these ever-changing hybrid environments.
-
The survey asks about in-person and virtual options, how and what information you would like to receive, and provides an opportunity to speak your mind about how we can better connect with you.
- Do you feel comfortable with in-person events? When/where and would you like to see virtual or hybrid options for future events?
-
We also want to know if there is anything else we could do to improve your APMP-NCA member experience.
-
What additional offerings, if any, would you like to see provided by APMP-NCA — was there a webinar or event you attended in the past and would like to see us bring back?
What We Plan to Accomplish in 2022 and Beyond
We’re very excited to plan in-person events again, along with our flagship event the Mid-Atlantic Conference (MAC) tentatively scheduled for October 2022 (stay tuned and sign up to our newsletter for more info).
-
Capture Breakfast – this was such a success in May 2019, we want to bring it back! At this time, we are working out when and where, with a tentative date in June.
-
Happy Hour/Coffee Break – we want to bring chapter members together! Social networking can be easy, and instantly connect you with other members all over the world. We want to share our chapter and the resources we offer to all proposal professionals.
-
Member and Volunteer Appreciation Events – we are so grateful to all of our volunteers for helping out at our events and conference all year, whether it’s registering folks in person, signing up as a speaker, or working in the background and assisting virtually. What fun events do you want to see this year?
