IronArch is actively looking for a Proposal Manager to join our team to lead the IronArch Proposal Group. The role will be leading corporate proposal efforts while also planning to expand the team over the next two years in response to significant corporate growth. This position directs the proposal efforts in responding to opportunities; developing and implementing proposal response best practices; and leading proposal responses. IronArch is actively looking for a self-motivated Proposal Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing a proposal department with a portfolio of opportunities ranging from small task orders to large Federal IDIQ proposal efforts for Civilian and Defense agencies. The Proposal Manager will be responsible for the management, resourcing, professional development, and ultimately the quality of all proposals submitted for the company. In addition, the Proposal Manager will also support pre-proposal efforts with Capture Managers and lead key proposals once they have been released. The Proposal Manager must have the right balance of skills to manage the department, actively lead a proposal, and also take an active role in writing, when necessary.
The Proposal Manager will focus on full range of proposal activities from pre-RFP preparation, strategy, and win theme development through writing and submitting winning proposals. Working closely with the Chief Strategy & Growth Officer, the EVP for Customer Experience & Delivery Engagement, and Capture Managers, the Proposal Manager will focus on a full range of proposal activities from pre-RFP preparation, strategy, and win theme development through writing and submitting winning proposals.
We are looking for the Proposal Manager to lead a team, and also be individually responsible for the following:
Work closely with the Capture Manager in the pre-proposal phase to establish win themes, conduct SME interviews, and develop initial proposal approaches, detail, and past performance to the degree possible
Lead proposal efforts by managing multiple efforts simultaneously; set schedules, lead efforts and guide writing, and create compliant and compelling proposals; and write proposals
Continuously improve IronArch’s proposal processes and quality
Balance resources to determine the best approach to successfully submitting winning proposals with the available resources
Demonstrate experience in managing small, medium, and large proposals, as well as the capacity to manage multiple proposals of reasonable size simultaneously
Work with IronArch leaders to plan for and manage upcoming opportunities
Education and Experience
BS in business or technical discipline strongly preferred, Masters degree is a plus
8+ years of experience in a government proposal writing/contracting
Proven experience in managing the full proposal lifecycle and a track record of successful results
Experience writing professional services and IT-centric proposals
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven experience operating in fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong team building skills
Strong understanding and experience with the principles of configuration management and document control.
Experience managing multiple proposals, multiple tasks, and due dates.
Expert Microsoft Word and desktop publishing skills
Graphic design experience preferred
